Business Insurance Built Around What You're Actually Exposed To
Independent P&C coverage for NJ small businesses — reviewed across every exposure before a claim reveals what was missing.
Bergen County has one of the highest concentrations of small businesses in New Jersey. Most of them are adequately covered for the risks they know about. Fewer are covered for the ones they haven't thought about yet — a data breach, a subcontractor injury, a vehicle accident on a job site. As an independent property and casualty agency serving NJ and NY businesses since 2005, we review your commercial exposures across property, liability, auto, and cyber before recommending a single policy.
We're a P&C-only agency. We don't do life or health. If you're looking for a commercial insurance partner focused entirely on protecting your business operations, that's all we do.
Commercial Coverage for Every Exposure Your Business Carries
We work with multiple carriers and select coverage based on your industry and risk profile — not on a carrier relationship or volume target. Below are the commercial lines we place for NJ and NY businesses.
Business Owners Policy (BOP)
A bundled starting point that combines property and general liability coverage for eligible small businesses. We assess whether a BOP fits your exposure or whether separate policies give you better protection.
General Liability Insurance
Covers third-party bodily injury and property damage claims arising from your business operations. For most small businesses, this is the floor — not the ceiling.
Commercial Property Insurance
Protects the physical assets your business depends on — your building, equipment, inventory, and improvements. We review replacement cost versus actual cash value so you're not underinsured when a loss occurs.
Cyber Liability Insurance
New Jersey's data breach notification law applies to any business that stores personal information on NJ residents — which includes most small businesses operating today.
Commercial Auto Insurance
Personal auto policies don't cover vehicles used for business purposes. If your business owns or regularly uses vehicles — or if employees drive their own vehicles on your behalf — you need commercial auto coverage structured for that exposure.
Contractors Insurance
Contractors face a distinct combination of exposures: general liability, tools and equipment, workers' compensation requirements, and certificate of insurance requests from every job site.
Commercial Umbrella Insurance
When a judgment or settlement exceeds the limits of your underlying liability policies, a commercial umbrella picks up where they leave off. We review your total liability exposure to determine whether your current limits leave your business at risk.
A captive agent represents one carrier. If that carrier's appetite doesn't match your industry, your options are limited. As an independent agency, we access multiple carriers and place your coverage with the one that fits your specific risk profile. That distinction matters most in commercial lines, where a mismatch between carrier and industry can leave real gaps in your coverage.
We've placed commercial P&C coverage for businesses across Bergen County and the greater NJ/NY metro since 2011. We know which carriers perform well for which industries — and which ones create problems at claim time.
Independent Means We Work for Your Business — Not for a Carrier

Fort Lee and the surrounding communities in Bergen County are home to a large and growing Korean-American business community. We're a Korean-English bilingual agency, and we work with Korean-owned small businesses across Fort Lee, Ridgefield, and Palisades Park on commercial P&C coverage — from restaurant and retail to professional services and contractors.
If you've been working with an agent who doesn't fully explain your coverage in your preferred language, we can review your current policies and walk through every line with you.

What Commercial Insurance Does Your NJ Business Actually Need?
What commercial insurance does my NJ business need?
It depends on your industry, your physical footprint, and how your business interacts with customers, employees, and third parties. Most small businesses need at minimum a general liability policy and commercial property coverage. Businesses with vehicles need commercial auto. Any business storing customer data should carry cyber liability. We review your exposures before recommending coverage — not after a claim reveals a gap.
Does New Jersey law require any commercial insurance coverage?
NJ law requires workers' compensation coverage for any business with employees, and commercial auto insurance for business-owned vehicles. Beyond those requirements, coverage needs vary by industry, contract requirements, and lease agreements. Many landlords and general contractors also require certificate of insurance before you can operate or take on work.
What is a Business Owners Policy and is it right for my business?
A BOP bundles general liability and commercial property coverage into a single policy, typically at a lower combined premium than purchasing both separately. It's designed for small to mid-sized businesses with relatively straightforward risk profiles. Not every business qualifies — and for some, separate policies offer broader protection. We assess your eligibility and your exposure before recommending a BOP or an alternative structure.
Why does cyber liability matter for a small business in NJ?
New Jersey's data breach notification law requires businesses to notify affected individuals and, in some cases, the state attorney general, when personal information is compromised. The cost of breach response — forensic investigation, legal counsel, notification, and credit monitoring — can be significant even for a small business. Cyber liability insurance covers those costs and addresses business interruption losses from a network event. Most small business owners don't carry it. Most should.
What's the difference between an independent agent and a captive agent for commercial insurance?
A captive agent represents a single carrier. An independent agent works with multiple carriers and places your coverage with the one that fits your business. For commercial lines, this matters because carrier appetite varies significantly by industry — a carrier that's competitive for a retail business may not be the right fit for a contractor or a business with significant cyber exposure. As an independent P&C agency, we select carriers based on your risk profile, not on a carrier relationship.
Do you serve businesses outside of Bergen County?
Yes. We place commercial insurance for businesses across New Jersey and New York. Our office is in Ridgefield, NJ, and we work with clients in Jersey City, New York City, and throughout the NJ/NY metro area.
